Remuneration: $132K inc super annually

The Opportunity 🏦

We are seeking an analytical Data Analyst to join a Major Australian Bank. This role is for a "data detective" who thrives on untangling complex data flows and ensuring high-quality governance within a sophisticated reporting environment.

Note: We are specifically looking for candidates at the mid-level (3–5 years) rather than Senior/Lead level for this particular position.

The Essentials 📋

• Experience: 3–5 years in Data Analyst, Governance, or Quality roles.

• Industry: Banking or Financial Services is mandatory. * Technical: Proficiency with Jira and Confluence. Collibra experience is highly preferred.

• Communication: Ability to explain complex technical problems to a Director concisely and clearly.

What You’ll Do 🔍

• Process Tracing: Ability to understand and trace through complicated processes to map end-to-end data lineage.

• Data Governance: Monitor data quality, document issues, and oversee remediation within the bank's framework.

• Stakeholder Influence: Work directly with senior stakeholders to articulate problems and drive solutions.

• Problem Solving: Take full ownership of data gaps from initial discovery through to the final fix.

• Articulate: You can summarize technical failures for non-technical leaders in two minutes flat.
